On Saturday, March 1, 2008, the Chesapeake Chorale staged its premiere Cabaret performance at the Christian Community Presbyterian Church in Bowie.
Refreshments served included coffee and sinfully rich desserts. Chorale members took the stage to sing solo or in small groups. The music spanned centuries and styles from Elizabethan to the Beatles. The Chorale opened the show with "It's a Grand Night for Singing" and closed with a medley from "Les Misérables".
Photos below are snapshots from the Cabaret performance and from the prior night's rehearsal. Experimenting with lighting continued on rehearsal night and you'll see a few red or blue singers. Rehearsal night photos are labeled in the captions. |
