On Saturday, October 18, 2008, the Chesapeake Chorale and Chesapeake Christian Center’s Celebration Choir collaborated for a joint presentation of music from the oratorio Messiah.

Chesapeake Chorale Artistic Director Jesse Parker conducted the first segment of the program; Christian Center's Associate Pastor & Music Director Thom Dawson conducted the second.

Solos were performed by members of the Chesapeake Chorale. The audience was invited to join in singing the "Hallelujah Chorus."
